Uncle Buck had to adjust to life in ‘burb. Prince Akeem wanted to experience true love and pretended to be a shepherd in Coming to America. Both of them had to enter a different mindset in their new ‘hoods. Learn tubular methods when navigating bogus situations without having a cow.

Four topics have been selected that librarians have different opinions about. The purpose of the workshop is to examine how other people would see the issue and put yourself in their place by borrowing UX design concepts of Empathy Maps.

Each table will present their issue, the empathy map, and conclusions about the issue. They will also discuss how this exercise can apply to their work when they have to answer reference questions that are controversial, such as fracking, climate change, historical topics, etc.
