The NeverEnding Story: Turning Statistics into Stories

Librarians spend all day making an impact on our patrons, however our stakeholders are not always clued into what the libraries are busy with. Additionally with silos of expertise in our libraries we don’t always know what our own co-workers are doing. We are not doing our best telling our own “NeverEnding Story.” In this session we will discuss how one Academic Library tackled the problem of warehousing statistics with no context and created a Storytelling and Statistics group. We will spend the majority of the session working in small groups to identify the impact our libraries have every day and how to tell our own stories.
