Are millennials too busy eating avocado toast to learn how to use boolean search operators? No! Time after time, we see generational descriptions like millennial, Gen X, and baby boomer acting as catch-all terms for everything we may dislike or misunderstand about people of different ages. In this hands-on workshop, we will move away from generational stereotypes to create library user personas that more accurately evoke users with varying needs at different life stages. Personas can help you create and redesign programs, services, and digital products that are relevant to your user community, and we will show you examples of how this works in action. Participants in this workshop will leave with personalized resources for applying personas to their own work.
