Michelle Brannen
Hi, I am the Media Literacy Librarian and the Interim Head of the Scholars' Collaborative at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Libraries. In this position, I head The Studio, a media production lab, am the subject liaison for both Journalism and Electronic Media and Studio Art, and I provide support for researchers working with media with the Scholars’ Collaborative. I received a Master’s in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee and have a degree in Music Education from Florida State University. My research interests include exploring ways to facilitate the creative process; how library services can impact and support learning; library assessment; and the intersections of civility and diversity in communities. I am a mom, a huge Frank Zappa fanatic, and an avid reader of science fiction.
